Description
Ethically handcrafted from sustainably sourced alpaca wool blend fibers.
This throw brings an elemental, grounding warmth to a space. Each piece in the Kallpa Collection is handwoven in the highlands of Otavalo, Ecuador by a single family of four traditional weavers — from the careful alignment of the earth-toned yarns to the steady rhythm of the loom, it carries a quiet, genuine story of craft and heritage.
Once off the loom, the textile is hand-brushed using dried pods of the native teasel plant — a centuries-old technique that opens up the fibers to a silky softness and gentle luster. Finished with traditional wooden blocks and 4-inch hand-tied fringe at each end.
